Every year, from September to October, the Douro region celebrates the grape harvest ritual. Visiting Douro in this time of the year is to get to know from the inside the soul of the 'Duriense' people.
In the end of summer you can feel in the air the aroma of grapes, ready to be harvested, as if they were aiming to be part of the best wines in the world.
Program:
10:30h – Participants Reception
11:00h – We start the day with a visit to the gardens of the Enoteca (wine museum), tasting a Honor Moscatel to the sound of the accordion.
11:30h – We go to the vineyards where we start to cut the grapes and transport them to the wine press, accompanied by Traditional Duriense Chants.
12:30h – Wine Tasting with the wine experts of the Farm "Quinta da Avessada", with some appetizers.
13:00h – Tradicional Duriense Lunch – Cultural Animation
The meal will be made in a traditional way, with iron pots.
Tradicional Lunch:
Entries- Several kinds of sausages (Chouriço);
- Cheese Board;
- Favaios wheat( specialty);

- Mixed Grilled meats with roasted potatoes and bakes cabbage.
Desert
- Regional sweets and fruits of the season;
Coffee and homemade Jams.
Drinks are included (water, orange juice and White or Red Wine).
15:00h – We beguin to step on the grapes with the singing group.
16:00h – Documented Liqueury Wine Taste in the Enoteca.
17:00h – End of the program
